Devil Comes Home
The devil was once the bringer of light,
And that he can be again.
In action’s where his redemption lies,
From God’s disdain.
God was once a loving father,
Doting while temptation reigned,
In mercy’s where His redemption hides,
From His own hubris’s stain.
The prodigal son came home to mother,
Home’s the Mother’s domain.
A place where the heart feels safe,
Where feeling isn’t strained.
The Mother forgives, so she forgave,
As love overcame her refrain.
As many times before, it did again.
